Chris is a retired Army veteran, Texas A&M graduate, and the visionary behind ShieldED Haven. Driven by a personal mission to protect future generations from cyberbullying.

With a passion for innovation and a heart for service, Chris leads ShieldED Haven in delivering AI-powered tools and real-time support that help schools detect, protect, and promote respect in the digital world.

Uzma Hamid

Chief Technical Officer

Uzma is a computer science graduating from Texas A&M in December with a perfect 4.0 GPA, bringing a strong foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing. She has conducted AI/ML research at Stanford, focusing on domain generalization in machine learning models, and served as a student software engineer at Texas A&M’s College of Nursing, where she integrated advanced natural language processing pipelines to improve healthcare response systems. Uzma also has extensive experience in computer vision research, developing deep learning models for object detection and robotic systems, as well as leading student teams in full-stack development projects, including scalable web applications and real-world AI solutions.

As CTO of ShieldED Haven, Uzma applies her blend of technical expertise and leadership experience to design and oversee the company’s technology strategy. Her background includes hands-on work with cloud platforms, cybersecurity, data science, and large-scale system architecture, making her well-suited to lead the development of ShieldED Haven’s AI-powered safety platform. Passionate about using technology for social good, she is committed to building scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that protect children online, empower educators, and create safer, more supportive school environments.

Hunter Howton

Chief Operating Officer

Hunter is an experienced business strategist, Texas A&M graduate, and operational leader at Shielded Haven. With a proven track record in organizational leadership and digital transformation, he ensures the company’s vision becomes a reality through effective daily operations and strategic execution.

Passionate about creating secure digital spaces, Hunter empowers Shielded Haven to deliver innovative solutions that protect students from cyberbullying.

Mattie Caldwell

Chief Customer Officer

Mattison is an emerging sales professional, Texas A&M graduate, and a leader at ShieldED Haven. With a background in customer success, social media strategy, and team leadership, she brings strong relationship-building skills and a drive to create meaningful connections with schools and districts.

She has completed over 100 hours of B2B sales training and gained hands-on experience in sales outreach, CRM tools, and client engagement through roles in both retail and B2B environments.

Passionate about sales and building relationships, Mattison is excited to build ShieldED Haven’s sales program from the ground up, ensuring it reflects the company’s mission and values. Driven to help create a business that values children and their safety, she is committed to expanding ShieldED Haven’s impact and helping schools adopt safer, more supportive digital environments

With expertise in fundraising initiatives, financial strategy, and community engagement, she ensures the organization's resources align effectively with its mission.
